After recently being hospitalized for “excessive heat and dehydration” off the set of her latest film, Georgia Rule, most media sources have pointed fingers at Lindsay saying Lohan’s party animal behavior is responsible. Lohan has been reprimanded in writing by James Robinson, CEO of the film’s production company, with threats stating that if her behavior continues, he is ready to take steps against her “to preserve the integrity of the film.” Lindsay has failed to show up for work in the past and Robinson has been convinced that late nights are to blame.
While her excessive partying is far from breaking news, it is surprising how Lohan seems unconcerned with how her actions are affecting her work, considering her late-night partying just days after the hospital admittance fiasco. For Lohan, there is a disconnect between actions and consequences.
As reported in People magazine, Dina Lohan spoke out against the threatening CEO stating that his remarks were“ way out of line” and “not a smart thing to do to a young girl.” She goes on to talk about how wonderful her child Lindsay is and how everyone seems to love her. According to Dina, the heat and bronchial asthma are really to blame for the hospitlization. And partying, why, what partying?
Alright, the heat can get to anyone, but with Lohan’s background it’s more than a coincidence. Her skeletal figure alone makes her vulnerable to exhaustion, and her partying would be considered excessive for any college-aged kid. Not to mention, She is UNDERAGE. Clearly, she needs to reevaluate her priorities.
And for Mom Dina: No doubt, mothers want to stick up for their kids, an often necessary and admirable act of loyalty. However, Dina Lohan’s brush-it-off attitude about her daughter’s behavior only enables Lindsay to continue to feel she can do no harm. Plus, how many hospitalizations or threatened contracts later until Lindsay's wild ways come back to haunt her? How about some sanguine Mom advice for a change?
